UPDATE: Colombia wins over Japan, 4-1, to advance to the knockout round as the top team in Group C.
Previous post:
After a draw and a loss in their last two matches, Japan is hoping for its first win of the tournament. To get it, they’ll have to beat Colombia, a team that hasn’t lost yet at the Cup, and has already qualified for the Round of 16. If Japan does beat Colombia, they’ll then have to hope for a winless Greece team to upset Cote d’Ivoire in order to advance to the next round. It’s a long-shot for sure, but it is possible. See what happens today at 4 PM ET (8 PM UTC).
